The school offers a wide range of agricultural courses at higher professional education, MBO and VMBO levels. The 30,000 m² complex, which is the size of a city block, comprises five parts, each with its own structure and appearance, and is embedded between the city and a green area along the Potmarge River. This area also includes the various types of gardens, fields and pastures for small livestock that are used for education.
The teaching rooms are located on both sides of a 140-metre-long, four-story high middle street; all the practical rooms have been placed here so that as much installation technology as possible is bundled here. On the green north side, there are three wings with classrooms and teaching rooms; on the urban south side, practical classrooms, animal shelters and educational technology halls of the food technology department. The administrative spaces are located in an office wing on the Oostergoweg; the semicircular connecting element between administration and education spaces, which in terms of urban planning functions as a new forecourt for the existing John the Baptist Church, includes the main entrance, canteen, media library and auditorium.

Some of the greenhouses have been placed on the roof of the educational wings, which ensures double land use. The layout of the semi-public space around the complex took place in collaboration with landscape architect Copijn.

The project received the status of an Example Project for Sustainable Construction 1997.
