The most characteristic corner of the White Women project lies where the Griftpark meets the Singel and the Witte Vrouwensingel crosses the Kleinesingel. This is where the plan shows itself to the city with a new corner building - the so-called Singelblok. On the ground floor and first floor, we designed office spaces behind the glass façade, with a partially raised private courtyard at the rear. Above the office, people live in spacious apartments; the glass penthouse on the top floor overlooks the canal and park.
A little further on the Kleinesingel, opposite the park, the Gate was realized. De Poort takes up the size and scale of the other buildings in the park wall; this building contains five apartments and a glass penthouse, with a retail space on the ground floor.

Through the Gate, people enter the inner world of the project. Directly through the Gate, on the left side of the Marmersteeg, there is a short list of ground-level houses in two floors, the Stadswoningen. The alley leads to Marmerplein, a green neighborhood square with a playground, also used by the existing residential area behind it; the route through the courtyard is also an informal slow traffic route for this neighborhood, through the Gate to the Grift Park.
On the other side of the alley and on the Marble Square, raised on a half-sunken parking garage, there are special Patio Houses with a back house on a back path. On these Patio Houses, we have designed maisonettes with a large south-facing roof terrace, the Terrace Houses; from the roof terrace, residents look out over the old city center of Utrecht with the Cathedral as the center. Together, the complex forms an innovative and versatile part of Utrecht, which makes different ways of living possible in what was once a 'forgotten' place.
