In 2008 Evelien accomplished her master degree in architecture with honors at Delft University of Technology, with the project called ‘Op het breukvlak’. This covered a design for a new conservatory in The Hague. Upon graduating she accordingly started working with atelier PRO.


Evelien's professional approach is characterised by her critical and intuitive design attitude that demonstrates strong affinity with context, space and material.

Evelien creates architecture designs and partial designs ranging from competition phase up to execution phase. At atelier PRO she was involved in several projects. She played a substantial role in the architecture designs of three Enexis regional offices, Van Heek Car Parking tunnel connection project at Enschede and Gerrit Rietveld College in Utrecht. Other utilityprojects Evelien was involved were Norwich Research Parkmulti use facility Huis van de Heuvel at Breda and De Klinker Cultural Centre in Winschoten. Beside these, Evelien contributes significantly to competitions, tenders and formulating strategic design visions.


At this moment (2018) Evelien is the responsible projectarchitect of Vitalis College in Breda.It ws the first project that was granted the Bredase Welstandsprize. In addition she is also responsible as projectarchitect of British School of Amsterdam, a re-use project, transforming a listd former penitentiary institution into a contemporary healthy learning environment for four schooltypes((Early Years, Infant, Junior and Senior).
