Two more international design awards for Meander Medical Center

We are excited about the two international design awards that atelier PRO won with the design of Meander Medical Centre in Amersfoort. The accolades cover

- The SBID Health Care Design Award 2015 from the Society for British and International Design
- Healthcare Environment Award 2015 in the Acute Care category


SBID Healthcare Design Award 2015 
The Society for British and International Design (SBID) is the the professional accrediting organisation for the interior design industry in the UK supporting the interests of interior designers and manufacturers by guiding and measuring the profession’s trading standards through practice, competence and education.

The organisation supports the profession locally, nationally and internationally and is part of a global network of 50,000 designers who are professionally accredited. SBID is the British organisation selected by the 16 nation members of the European Council of Interior Architects and the NCIDQ in the USA and Canada to represent their professional accreditation standards in Britain

The jury selected the Meander interior as the winning healthcare design. The jury praised the design for its central patient focus. The 100.000 square meter hospital has been designed as a healing environment fully aimed at the wellbeing of the patients, staff and visitors.


Healthcare Environment Award 2015
The Healthcare Environment Award is co-sponsored by Contract Magazine and the American Center for Health Design. The award acknowledges innovative interior design in the healthcare industry. Atelier PRO became winner with the Meander
design in the Acute Care category. The awards ceremony took place November 16th during the Healthcare Design Conference in Washington.

Already in 2014 atelier PRO also won the prestigious WAN Award 2014 granted by World Architecture News.
