Alex Letteboer - architect deputy director
Alex Letteboer (1968) studied Architecture at Delft University of Technology, where he also worked as an editor of the Faculty Yearbooks, among other functions, for the Faculty of Architecture. From 1999 onward, he was employed as an architect at Dam & Partners Architecten in Amsterdam. At the same time, he was also a member of the editorial staff of two television programmes on architecture.

Since 2005, Alex has been working as an architect project leader at Atelier PRO. He was one of the designers of the multifunctional accommodation Het Huis van de Heuvel in Breda, a community school in Nieuwerkerk, and various architectural competitions and public commissions including the recent ROC (Regional Educational Centre) Laan van Spartaan in Amsterdam. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the BNA Kring Haaglanden (a local branch of the Royal Institute for Dutch Architects).

The central features of Alex Letteboer’s work are an open, rational approach to the design assignment, the sustainable insertion of architecture in its urban context, and the tectonics of the design. The landscape and the play of light form continuous sources of inspiration for his use of material and colour.

In January 2008, Alex joined the board of directors as architect deputy director.
